A very hard choice for 2026 and we're only half way through it!

At first I was fairly indifferent to Turnstile, until I watched their live performance at Glastonbury 2025. It was the first time I'd seen the energy of hardcore punk show captured on TV (live on the BBC no less!) and from that point on I was sold.

I had to include "Echo Park" as it was the first album I ever bought. I think I was inspired by the soundtrack to "Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec" at the time, although I must admit I'm pretty tired of "Buck Rogers" now.
1998
Possibly my favourite album of all time. Truly ahead of its time in the scene. All the intensity you could want out of a hardcore punk record but with a level of creativity that I think is unmatched.
